Warrensburg Senior Portraits: Pertle Springs & WHS Field
Celebrating Ryan’s Senior Year:
A Portrait Session at Pertle Springs and WHS Baseball Field
Capturing senior portraits is always a special experience. Ryan’s session was no exception. As a member of Warrensburg High School’s Class of 2024, Ryan and his mom wanted a blend of nature and sports portraits to mark his senior year.
We began at Pertle Springs in Warrensburg. The location offered stunning natural backgrounds that were perfect for Ryan’s portraits. The lush greenery and calm waters created a serene setting. This backdrop contrasted nicely with the sports shots we planned later at the WHS Baseball Field.
Ryan’s session was made even more memorable by the presence of his biggest supporters: his mom Amy, his girlfriend Olivia, and her mother and little sister. They were incredibly helpful throughout the shoot. They held the flash and sprayed the aerosol atmosphere, which was crucial for achieving the desired effects. Their support also helped Ryan feel more at ease in front of the camera, often getting him to laugh for those perfect candid shots.
At the baseball field, we focused on capturing action shots and posed portraits. To highlight Ryan’s connection to the sport, I used off-camera flash with a red flash gel. This technique added a dramatic touch to the images. The red gel gave the sports portraits a bold, vibrant look with a pop of the school color. Additionally, the aerosol atmosphere created a misty effect, enhancing depth and texture in the photos.
Overall, Ryan’s senior portrait session perfectly blended nature and sports, with a touch of creativity and strong support from his loved ones. I’m thrilled with the results and eager for Ryan and his family to see the final photos. Congratulations, Ryan, on your upcoming graduation from WHS Class of 2024!
